Bio

Originally from Streetsville, Ontario, Marta moved to Ottawa four years ago to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in history, while also expanding her interests in the sport of sprint kayaking. Marta primarily works as an oil painter who attempts to negotiate the notions of anxiety and self worth through figuration. Marta values stimulating conversations and often incorporates the knowledge and perspectives of others in her work.
